Support Puerto Rico's youth this summer! 🏖️

Puerto Rico’s youth is faced with a broken talent pipeline.

Across multiple sectors, employers consistently expressed a concern: many candidates—especially younger ones—lack the core competencies needed to thrive in the modern workplace. At the same time, we saw a mismatch between what students are studying and what the economy demands. This disconnect is not a matter of effort or ambition—it’s the result of structural barriers.

By investing early in skill-building, exposure, and collaboration, ConPRmetidos is helping to develop a pipeline of homegrown talent that is better prepared, more connected, and more aligned with the demands of a rapidly evolving economy.

Our response: Futuro ConPR

We are now designing and preparing to launch a pilot program in two schools, where we will test scalable, high-impact solutions that address each structural barrier.

Futuro ConPR is more than a youth program—it’s a systems-level response to the workforce challenges facing Puerto Rico today and tomorrow.

Supporting Counselors with Tools and Insights

We are coordinating round-table sessions with counselors and other stakeholders to better guide students toward opportunities aligned with future labor demand.

Building Future-Ready Skills

We are designing hands-on experiences that help students build essential 21st-century skills: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability.

Expanding Career Exposure

We are working with companies to offer students site visits and hands-on simulations that allow them to experience real career environments and help them visualize new possibilities for their future.

Fostering Cross-Sector Collaboration

We are convening key stakeholders across education, nonprofits, and the private sector to share best practices and insights, identify shared challenges, and facilitate open dialogue and joint problem-solving.
